As we were coming closer to the end of the Sarasota Film Festival, the Sea and Be Seen party totally left us tired and drained... well, that's because it was an amazing success!

The second party of the SFF was held at JD Hammel Park, and embodied an underwater sea theme. The night was full of aerial yoga mermaids, a glowing jelly fish, and dancing sea creatures amongst guests. Music performances from local features like Hannah Jae, Twin Limb, and also live art by the talented Rae Grand.

Classic to New York street style food trucks were lined up by the festivities offering nostalgic dishes like, tater tots! I have to say the kid in me was too enthralled about this. I'm pretty sure I made a few references from the comedy film Napoleon Dynamite.

Don't judge, I was just really excited.

Anyway...

the ambiance was lively and the crowd was diverse. This was the night that many filmmakers and talent were present and with my luck, I had the privilege of meeting Aisha Taylor.

As you may know Aisha had been seen on; Who's Line is it Anyway, Archer, Talk Soup, Friends, The Talk and that's just to name a few.

She was in Sarasota for her directed film 'Axis' which was showcased during the festival. She also did an intimate conversation at the Florida Studio Theater where she did a Q&A alongside side Michael Dunaway, director of programming for the Sarasota Film Festival.

I have to say It was truly a pleasure meeting her, especially because her first response to me was "I like your hair!"

Yes, I was super stoked.

The tickets to the Sea and Be Seen event were more reasonable then Opening Night and came with perks. Your entrance was red carpeted and photographed, entry consisted of four drink and food tickets. The night was full of young professionals and local trailblazers, it was definitely a more eclectic vibe.
