We step into this month with the feeling that something profound is about to happen. Our senses will be more accurate at this time, giving us the ability to pick up on unseen and hidden energies. Contemplate and think through what is being shown on the surface.

Take the meaning of the Four of Crystals as a reminder to take stock in that you have accomplished thus far. It can be easy to end up focused on our check lists, material goods or a certain level of status that we think we should be at. But what if instead we take a step back focus in on things that we may be trying to fill emotionally by chasing after something that we have deemed so much more important. What would it look like if we released that idea? This week reach for things in your wardrobe that feel like the actual you, not a you that you pretend to be.

An instinctual feeling of what holds meaning and what doesn’t allows us to approach this month with fierce perception. Use an expanded mindset to guide your way.

The Queen of Crystals tells us to maintain a sense of stability and balance. When we over extend ourselves in one direction, the other areas of our lives suffer. Where can you create more balance in your life? Where can this help to create a stable foundation to build your dreams on?

Once you create a strong foundation for yourself to operate from that if well rounded, you then have the ability to live an independent lifestyle. The Queen of Wands tells you to acknowledge your limitless potential. You have released the old ideas of what your life should be and now are building towards a positive mindset that align you to your dreams. Remember you can not pour from an empty cup. Only wear clothing this month that you feel good in, confident in and make note of why. Is it the colors? The fabrications, brands, the style?

Colors this month are royal purple, black, and rusty orange. The purple acts as a reminder that you are the Queen of your own story, to hold your head high and command your presence where it needs to be.

Black acts a protective shield to your wardrobe to repel people that need to be warded off and to attract people that align with your vision.

Rusty Orange is the confidence, friendly and attention getting. It embodies the energetic properties of the sun. Sprinkle it in when you want to turn up your light.

Work with Carnelian this month as this is the stone of confidence and community. She assists in warding off the insecurities and assists in spinning our fearful thought cycles into action. Hold this stone in your hand and say “Hello Fear my old friend, I release you and am instead ready to move forward.”

Find ways to build strength this month and dance it out with your body. When you get off the couch and move your limbs your body releases endorphins that in the long run make us feel happier. And to quo the great Elle Woods, “Exercise gives you endorphins. Endorphins make you happy. Happy people just don't kill their husbands, they just don’t.”

The additional dose of magical input this month is to find a ‘Sacred Grove.” Find a sacred space. Go to the woods. Be surrounded completely by trees. Be outside. Maybe bring a journal and record whatever downloads you receive.

SEVEN STYLISH GRATITUDES (1).png

Clothing is a way to tell the world about ourselves without saying a single word. We are able to  support independent designers, shout a message and make smart purchases that can better  the world as well as cloth for our day.

The articles we dress in every day have the power and ability to empower us, get us to walk  taller and help us feel more confident. I thought a fantastic ritual this month to focus our  wardrobes on is fashion gratitude, give thanks to the clothing that keeps us dressed, stylish  and warm this fall. Below are my seven of my favorite ways to empower our wardrobe.

1. “When in doubt, wear red.” - Bill Bass.

I have long subscribed to the idea of color theory, to the painful point of dressing head to toe in  red, including hair and lipstick to embody the feeling of confidence. After many years, I am  happy to announce that I have learned to cultivate this vibration is a more efficient way while  still feeling confident and sure. Red signifies confidence, assertiveness & strength. It's is a  fantastic color for when you need a little extra boost & is an attention grabber. The color of the  Root Chakra. Taking from the elements of the color Red, Burgundy shows strength, ambition,  influence, power & sophistication.

2. A signature item.

Everyone should have the one item in their wardrobe that effortlessly pulls their whole outfit  together, that’s also why when you want a well detailed television show, characters will have  repeating pieces that helps you to see their true nature. It can be something as similar as  various leather jackets, always using a similar handbag shape or never leaving the house  without a red lip. It is the signature on your outfit, it’s the chefs kiss, its the signifier that you are  ready to leave the house.

3. The power of a good jacket

I love to use jackets as almost a coat of armor on an outfit. It adds a layer to your outfits, it will  literally keep you warm and acts like a shield from outside elements. It’s another way to add in  a layer of vibration to your style and the styles are endless. You can dress your inner badass  with a buttery leather jacket, channel your 50’s house wife with a swing coat or add some  drama with a fur….faux or vintage of course.

4. Vintage

Styles and silhouettes tend to repeat every 20 years or so. So vintage is a way to capture the  OG design of a current trend and probably shop small as well. Shopping vintage is also better  for the environment since you get a chance to reuse something rather that pay into the  production of something brand new.

5. Social Media

I truly have a love/hate relationship with this giant circus that we have instant access to in our  phones. BUT I adore that is also gives us the ability to not only market ourselves without  breaking the bank, but it also enables us to connect with smaller designers that are all over the  world, companies that have similar values to ours and other creatives that we can love and  support.

6. A Tailor

A easily forgotten art in the age of fast fashion and so on, but back in the day, tailoring was a  simple way to alter and fit your garments so they actually flatter you. We often forget that most  fashion companies use only a few fit models to create a whole line of sizes and therefore leave  us open to things not fitting a hundred and ten percent. Don’t be afraid to alter a garment if that  means it will fit you better, maybe a slightly higher hem will land nicer, or maybe a jack can be  brought in a little. Curate your wardrobe, like you curate your life.

7. Independent designers

Because baby, you were not made to fit in and look like everyone else. Shopping independent  designers not only supports small businesses, people’s dreams, and the local economy BUT it gives you pieces in your wardrobe that can no be easily found at big box stores and copied. Shopping small also gives you the power to get things custom made or fine something that is amazing but because it is not on trend at the moment, is hard to find.
