SFF Panel Discussion: LGBTQ & Black Identities in Media
"Each year, the Sarasota Film Festival presents a line-up of independent films that feature significant LGBTQ characters or themes. Their partnership with strong non-profits like Our Sarasota Fund, Community Foundation of Sarasota County, Harvey Milk Festival, The Fabulous Independent Film Festival to ensure that focused programming serves the community year-round.
SFF emphasizes their commitment to showcasing LGBTQ voices by bringing together both local community members and celebrated filmmakers for a panel discussion. This year they believed they would be remiss if they didn't address the urgent and ongoing conversation surrounding representation in filmmaking, media, and the intersection between race and LGBTQ identities." - Sarasota Film Festival 2017
